OpenX, a global leader in creating programmatic advertising marketplaces that drive superior monetization for publishers, today announced the addition of Janice Rohn as Vice President, User Experience. Janice will be based in the company’s Pasadena headquarters and will report to OpenX Chief Technology Officer Michael Radovancevich. In her new role, Janice will lead OpenX’s User Experience (UX) team to enhance the design and functionality of the company’s offerings for publishers and buyers.

Janice has held various user experience leadership positions spanning her career of more than 25 years. Recently, Janice was the Vice President, User Experience at PubMatic, where she was responsible for cross-platform research, design, and front-end development.
Prior to PubMatic, Janice built and led UX teams at AT&T, Experian, World Savings Bank, Siebel Systems, and Sun Microsystems, beginning her career at Stanford University and Apple. She has extensive experience creating market-leading designs for web applications, websites, mobile apps, interactive TV, software, and hardware design. Janice is one of the pioneers in the field of UX, and was a founding board member and past president of the Usability Professionals’ Association (now UXPA). She worked with Vice President Gore’s office and members of Congress to raise awareness about the economic benefits of user experience. Janice has contributed to defining design standards used across the industry. She has numerous publications and has presented at over 50 conferences worldwide.
