TubeMogul (NASDAQ: TUBE), the leading enterprise software company for digital branding, has been named a certified partner of Nielsen’s Mobile Online Campaign Ratings (OCR). Starcom MediaVest is the first client to use the reporting through TubeMogul. The accreditation is the result of rigorous testing designed to ensure that TubeMogul’s software works seamlessly and accurately with Nielsen’s audience verification technology.
The advanced features are now certified to work with TubeMogul’s software, allowing marketers to ensure that they are reaching their target age and gender regardless of device. Through the new reporting, advertisers will be able to reach specific age and gender demographics on both smartphones and tablets. Advertisers will also be able to measure their unduplicated reach across desktop and mobile, providing accurate cross-screen audience measurement that can quickly and effectively inform overall media strategy and budget allocation. Of course, accurate reporting only gets marketers so far. TubeMogul’s BrandPoint product leverages OCR to help brands accurately plan and buy digital video on a cost per gross rating point (GRP) basis.
In a recent case study, Nielsen highlighted BrandPoint’s success at exceeding benchmarks in a campaign for Mindshare and the U.S. Marine Corps. “As viewing on tablets and smartphones cuts into TV primetime, the need for audience verification in mobile from a trusted third-party is essential,” said Keith Eadie, CMO of TubeMogul. “Nielsen delivers, and we look forward helping brands and agencies seamlessly shift spending across screens.” “A big part of video’s growth as a brand-building medium has to do with the fact that viewers are watching videos on smartphones and tablets,” said Zach Isaacs, VP & Director at Starcom Worldwide. “Not only does Nielsen’s Mobile OCR reporting give us a way to measure our audience reach across devices, but software like TubeMogul’s lets us shift our budget to where the eyeballs are in real-time.”
