Brandscreen、大物のヘッドハンティングにより経営層の強化(英文)

2013.4.12

Real-time bidding firm Brandscreen has said automated ad buying is about to boom and has hired some big names to help it corner the market.

Former News Limited digital chief operating officer Stuart Spiteri joins as president and chief revenue officer. Spiteri will be based in Singapore. He has also held roles at Google and Akamai.

Ex-iPrime boss Tony Surtees has joined as chief operating officer of Brandscreen in Sydney. Before iPrime, Surtees was vice president and general manager of Yahoo!’s commerce division in the US. There he oversaw finance and business units generating US$200 million per annum in advertising & revenue share, US$2.5 billion in gross merchandise sales and over US$700 million in Yahoo! Merchant Services. Brandscreen boss Julian Tol said the company needed someone of Surtees’ stature to take it to the “next stage of development”.

The company has also hired former CBS Interactive general manager of consumer brands Jo Gaines as chief revenue officer for Australia and New Zealand. Gaines is also a former Yahoo! staffer.
“[The hires] position us and our customers for what we anticipate will be the exponential growth of programmatic buying in coming years,” said Tol.
