Sizmek announced the acquisition of StrikeAd, a dedicated Mobile advertising Demand Side Platform (DSP). The company will provide detail on the financial impact of the transaction on its 2015 financial results during its first quarter earnings call scheduled for 5:00pm EST today.
The StrikeAd DSP enables advertisers, agencies, and publishers to plan, optimize, deliver and measure the most effective Mobile advertising campaigns on a global scale. The StrikeAd platform will be integrated into the Sizmek MDX platform, enabling advertisers to take full advantage of Sizmek’s mobile and programmatic capabilities. By connecting mobile programmatic buying directly with rich media & video authoring, dynamic creative, in app data as well as viewability, verification, and attribution capabilities, marketers can now maximize the ROI of programmatic. StrikeAd will also join other leading DSPs as part of the Sizmek DSP Connect initiative to provide visibility and efficiency to agencies and brands using MDX.

This acquisition supports Sizmek’s strategy of continuing to invest and expand the company’s mobile offering. It also represents a critical step in Sizmek’s overall programmatic strategy, which aims to deliver creative and audience targeting and optimization at scale on any device.

Sizmek anticipates the formal close date of the deal to be May 28, 2015.
