TubeMogul (NASDAQ:TUBE), a leading enterprise software platform for brand advertising, announced that it is one of the first video platforms to be awarded the Facebook Marketing Partner badge. Advertisers can now purchase video ads within Facebook News Feed and Instagram and place those ads on desktop and mobile. The capability is available to all TubeMogul clients globally.
The integration enables marketers to consolidate their entire brand advertising budget through TubeMogul’s self-serve platform and holistically plan, buy and measure their video advertising on Facebook and Instagram alongside existing linear TV, digital video and display advertising initiatives. TubeMogul is one of the first major video buying platforms to integrate with the Facebook API, enabling advertisers to employ the same granular audience targeting capabilities currently available through Facebook’s native interfaces and quickly evaluate their success with unified reporting across multiple media platforms.
Through the integration, advertisers can: sequentially message by retargeting individuals across both Facebook and Instagram; receive third-party audience verification and cross-channel deduplication reporting from Nielsen directly within TubeMogul’s platform; and eventually inform cross-channel media planning by determining incremental reach provided. Available reporting metrics include: Likes, comments, shares, impressions, video completion rates, and downstream brand metrics such as purchase intent and sentiment. Over 40 global advertisers have already run over 100 campaigns on Facebook and Instagram through TubeMogul in a closed beta program, including Expedia, Lenovo Australia, Publicis Health Media on behalf of athenahealth and Starcom Mediavest on behalf of Kraft.
According to Facebook’s Q4 2015 earnings call, over 500 million people view over 100 million hours of video on Facebook daily. Instagram has over 400 million monthly users that share over 80 million photos daily.
“Our vision was to work with Facebook and Instagram in order to provide a seamless branding experience for marketers across all media channels, and today we’re one step closer to that goal,” said Brett Wilson, TubeMogul CEO and co-founder. “We’re tremendously excited about the integration and we look forward to continuing to work with them to build a better future for brand advertising.”
“By including formats like Facebook video in their platform, TubeMogul continues to solidify their status as a one-stop shop for marketers looking to drive incremental reach and quickly understand how their media spend is working,” said Vic Walia, Senior Director, Brand Marketing, Expedia.
“Buying Facebook ads through TubeMogul allows us to get instant learnings across both desktop and mobile and extend those insights to inform our strategy across our entire media buy,” said Danielle Uskovic, AP Digital & Social Lead, AP Marketing, Lenovo.
“TubeMogul’s software lets us take a holistic approach to video across multiple devices and channels – including Facebook – which helps us gain a better understanding of how each format contributes and ultimately lets us be more flexible on behalf of our clients,” said Adam Ray, Head of Programmatic, Mindshare Worldwide.
“This type of in-depth integration between Facebook and TubeMogul gives us not before seen access to Facebook Inventory through the programmatic space. Access to the incredibly rich data within Facebook to target and power our campaigns has the potential to drive incredible success for our clients,” said Adam Hancox, Programmatic Associate Director, Starcom Mediavest UK.
