In this role, Mitchell is responsible forleading sales and business strategy to drive the adoption ofprogrammatic video in the European market.

Mitchellbrings over 20 years of digital media and advertising technologyexperience to BrightRoll and is focused on driving transparentfinancial efficiency, agile and iterative product deployment andsimple, scalable ease of trade. He leads a growing team out of thecompany’s European headquarters in London.

According to IHS, research partner of IAB Europe,programmatic video ad buying across the “big five” European markets(UK, France, Spain, Germany and Italy) will grow an average of 77percent a year and be worth an estimated EUR 627 million by 2017.

Mitchell has held a number of leadership positions working withbrands, agencies, agency trading desks (ATDs), demand-side platforms(DSPs), ad tech companies and the publisher market in Europe. Mostrecently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Rightster, andprior to that, spent six years as managing director at ANyMedia, theadvertising network and technology division of Daily Mail and GeneralTrust (DMGT). In this role, Mitchell was instrumental in thecommercial success of Mail Online through the development of digitaladvertising teams and implementation of programmatic initiatives.Previous experience includes roles as media development director atPanasonic and development director at Ogilvy & Mather. Mitchell alsoserved as managing director at DoubleClick UK, where he wasresponsible for growing the team from five to 140 employees, whichled to success in securing deals with some of the most prominentbrands in Europe.
